WISE CDT is a site managed by the Centre for Water Systems at Exeter University. The client had an existing, outdated Joomla website which was to be moved to Wordpress.
I created a custom Wordpress theme to replicate the design of the existing Joomla site. Unlike the original, the new site was developed from the ground up to be mobile friendly.
The move from Joomla was achieved using a combination of automated tools and manual migration. WISE has a decent number of content pages, news posts and media files which were transferred quickly and safely.
The Wordpress backend makes adding and editing content. As such, the site is now largely self-managed by the CWS staff.
